Chance
Chance is a favorite here at camp. His Palomino coat, big, gentle eyes, and extra "chub" make him seem almost like a big teddy bear. Campers enjoy riding Chance, but also, because of his calm personality, they also get the experience of painting him as they learn horse parts!!

Banner
Echo
Our resident Appaloosa! Ever camp seems to have one... Echo is calm...aka lazy, sometimes stubborn, falls asleep on the hitching post, and gives "hugs" :) He loves his face being scratched, and has that "you can lean on me" attitude. Even if he has his moments where he decides he doesn't want to walk anymore, he is reliable and predictable, two great qualities for a camp horse.
Bella
Big and beautiful, Bella draws the attention of most of our campers. She is curious and energetic and one of our youngest camp horses. Being younger and having less training, Bella is slowly working her way into being a camper horse. The wranglers and counselors like riding her and last summer was her first summer carrying campers. We kept a close eye on her, but she did great.
Banner was donated to Cross Bar X just this last fall, but was loaned to the camp for several summers in the past. His owner wanted him to live out the rest of his life giving easy trail rides to campers. Banner is well trained and has a good personality. It is good to have him around permanently now!
Yhona
Yhona is new here to Cross Bar X. He is a 9 year old Palomino gelding. He is as sweet as can be and I am so excited to use him for camp next summer. I know the campers will fall in love with his adorable face and kind spirit. Nothing scares this little guy, even in his new surroundings.
